Intimate Wedding Northern Ireland
I had the pleasure of capturing this intimate wedding just one week before Christmas. Diana and Conor are still planning on a larger celebration in Italy later this year but they were keen to be married whilst they had the opportunity and whilst restrictions allowed.
One of the great things about smaller or more intimate weddings is that it allows more flexibility in the couples approach towards the photo session. I stayed in touch with Diana & Conor leading up to the wedding and we kept an eye on the weather forecast. We decided on shooting in the morning prior to the ceremony as it was supposed to be drier. Together we built a little timeline which allowed enough time to cover two locations on the shoot.
We started in Carlingford, beginning at the historic Priory before making our way through the cobbled streets of this quaint little Irish port town. This place is usually packed with visitors but on a nippy December morning there weren’t too many revellers around.
As time was ticking on we made our way into Newry City and managed to grab a few shots around the Town Hall before the ceremony. These two were super relaxed with each other and I loved Diana’s cool trouser suit and that awesome bouquet from floral legends Floralearth.
With their family arriving we moved inside the Town Hall to witness the ceremony. There was even some time for a few celebratory shots afterwards.
This was definitely one of my highlights of 2020. Intimate weddings for the win!
