Markree Castle straddles the banks of the Unshin River in rural County Sligo close to the West coast of Ireland. Although hidden from the public eye you are pleasantly surprised by the grandeur of this 17th Century authentic Irish Castle once you reach the end of the winding entrance.
Kimberley and Barry decided this would be the perfect place to host friends and family as they celebrated their wedding. With guests arriving from all over Ireland as well as from across the Atlantic it was sure to be a day to remember in the most beautiful setting.
Kimberley and Barry, already legally married, chose to do things a little differently. The day began in the usual fashion with bridal and groom prep followed by the couples ‘first look’. It was so special to witness these two see each other for the first time and I even managed to grab some portraits of them together.
Bridal party and Family photos were also captured prior to the ceremony which took place in the grounds of the Castle and were officiated by a Wizard. Yes, you read that right!
This was such a fun, laid back, beautifully styled day. Go check it out!!!
