The Millhouse // Geraldine & James

The Millhouse in Slane, Co. Meath lies on the banks of the River Boyne. This Georgian Manor house is accompanied by the rustic charm of the Mill.

It was here that Geraldine & James decided to tie the knot on a blustery but bright October day. Despite a wet morning the clouds had cleared and the sun was shining by the time their ceremony rolled around. The pair chose to have the ceremony in the Mill which is both a dramatic and historic setting for them to say their ‘I Do’s’.

As is often the case in Ireland it was a chilly day with a threat of rain so we chose to keep the portrait session short yet we were blessed with some beautiful light. Geraldine and James were so natural with each other too and you could tell this pair were so pleased to be husband and wife.

We finished up on photos just as the rain started and headed indoors to cut the cake. It was such a relaxed atmosphere with the awesome Drum & Bates keeping everyone entertained before dinner and speeches.

This was one beaut of a day! What better way to finish things off than with a sparkler entrance into the first dance. I’m pretty celebrations continued long into the night.
